Casa Grove II is designed with more interior cubic volume than exterior space due to the oaks locations. It takes more advantage of the visual “borrowing” of the outside, creating more smaller, intimate exterior spaces while generating larger, more group gathering spaces in the interior double height volumes. Large spans of glass are used and protected from the sun by the natural “umbrella” effect of the large oaks surrounding it, allowing transparency from inside to outside, making small spaces feel larger on small a lot.
