The owners of this showroom carrying classics of modern design wanted a building to showcase a philosophy of “good design as a way of life”.  The design solution is based on a 50-inch module, expressed on the façade that regulates all proportions of the building.  The lower ceiling height (100”) along the exterior perimeter of the structure allows furniture arrangements to be viewed at a residential scale, while the central, sky lighted two story atrium washes the interiors with soft, reflected light, allowing for light filled moments through which customers move upstairs or make their purchases.
